Forever Lovely

Today I am having a fun play with the Forever Lovely Stamp set from the Stampin’ Up Occasions Catalog.  This stamp set is currently only available through June 2nd, so if you love it, get it now while you know it is available!

Forever Lovely 2Forever Lovely Close Up

This set is Photopolymer and features two-step stamping.  For those that may not be familiar with two-step stamping, it simply means that you will stamp part of the image with one stamp, and then stamp over the same image with another stamp.  The first flower stamp in this set will stamp your outline, with the second being the “fill-in” and is often lighter than the outline stamp.  This gives the crafter so much versatility and detail in their images.   With the set being photopolymer, it is quite easy to line the second image back up over the first.

Tip:  Our Stamparatus is a wonderful tool in accomplishing perfectly aligned two-step images.

This set also features the new product line called Distinctive Stamps.  These type of stamps provide much more detail than traditional stamped images, and the details definitely show through!

Tip:  When stamping with distinctive stamps, the amount of ink on your stamp will play a critical role in achieving beautiful images.  If your pad is too juicy, the images will look like a solid mess, and no detail will show.  If your pad is too dry, you will not get good coverage.  For some, the best success has come with applying the ink to the stamp using a sponge dauber rather than inking directly to the stamp with my stamp pad.

Don’t you just love the sentiments in this set?  The mixed-fonts just make them so much more lovely.

All the supplies I used are listed below.  You can order them today by clicking on the images and adding them to your shopping cart.  My store is ALWAYS open!

Thank You for looking!

NC Demos Blog Hop – Cute Critters

Today’s card is part of the NC Demo’s Blog Hop. This month’s theme is cute critters, and since I’m a dog-lover, I designed my card using the new Happy Tails Bundle!

Remember, today is the FINAL day of Sale-a-Bration so get those last-second orders in by midnight so you don’t miss out! Not sure what to order? Try this adorable bundle out!

In case you’re wondering who are the NC Demos… We are a self-managed group of Stampin’ Up Demonstrators that live in North Carolina, USA. We have our own Facebook page where we set up events for fellow demonstrators to attend, we share project ideas and business tips as well.

Today’s card uses the Happy Tails bundle with some of our FREE Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper called Painted Seasons. You can earn this paper for FREE by placing a $50 order – but you better hurry, Sale-a-bration ends tonight (March 31st) and this paper will be GONE!

The Happy Tails bundle has a great punch that will cut your dog AND a cute little heart too! The stamp set has multiple pattern options for your dog so you can make most any breed / color you want… so many possibilities… I used a simple masking technique on the sentiment to cover up the word “Heart” because I wanted to use the little heart punch in its place… I think it gives it such a cute touch.

You can purchase all the items I used on this card from my Online Store by clicking the links below. My store is ALWAYS open!

Now, Hop on over to the next blog to see what other cute critters some of my fellow NC Demos created!

Sale-a-Brating Lovely Lattice

Last Day to Sale-a-Brate!

It is the last day of Sale-a-Bration and so I wanted to feature some additional ideas using our wonderful Sale-a-Bration stamp sets.  The first, I think has quickly became one of my favorites, the Lovely Lattice.

Lovely Lattice 2

Lovely Lattice Close Up

I created this card using a new technique with my Stamparatus.  Note, that you cannot do this technique without a stamp positioning tool!  This card uses very few supplies although it looks like you used 8 different ink colors, it uses only 3!

First, I inked the entire image up with my Daffodil Delight and Stamped:

Lovely Lattice Step 1

Then, I randomly applied Lovely Lipstick to my stamp in various spots, and stamped again.  Since my paper and originally stamped image had not moved on the Stamparatus base, and my stamp was still in the same position on the Stamparatus plate, I could easily stamp directly over my original image and have perfect alignment.  AND, if we remember what we learned in 1st grade art class, yellow and red make orange… so… this is what I now have, pretty cool, huh?:

Lovely Lattice Step 2

But, we can’t just stop there… well, we could, but that wouldn’t be as much fun.  So, I added a third color, Bermuda Bay.  I randomly inked spots on my stamp, and stamped over my image a 3rd time.  Back to our 1st grade art class where yellow and blue make green, and red and blue make purple… we get this:

Lovely Lattice 3

You can always go back over the stamp and apply more Lovely Lipstick or Bermuda Bay in places to get the look you want.  But this is such a cool technique, and NO two cards will be exactly alike!

The Lovely Lattice set does not contain any sentiments, so I added my sentiment from the Dear Doily stamp set and punched it out with my 1 1/2″ Circle Punch, and layered it on a 1 3/8″ Scallop Circle in Bermuda Bay.

Again, this technique could not have been accomplished without my Stamparatus.  If you would like to get the Lovely Lattice stamp set, you can earn it FREE with the purchase of Stamparatus, or any other items totaling $50!  WOW!  But hurry, this stamp set is only available until midnight TONIGHT!

Well Said Birdie

Well Said framelits Today’s card was designed using our wonderful Well Said bundle in the Occasions Catalog.  I was lucky that I received the stamp set when I attended Stampin’ Up’s OnStage event held in Orlando.  (Psst… if you join, you can win attend these events too and win awesome stuff!).

There are 24 dies in this bundle and 51 stamps… thats a LOT of phrases and combinations you can make, just think of all the possibilities.  And the mix of scripted and plain text sentiments is all the rage right now, and let’s face it, its a good rage!

The key to this card is using the adhesive sheets when running your pieces through the Big Shot.  It makes the assembly so quick and easy… just like peeling and applying stickers.  The alternative would be to use our tombow glue with a sponge and apply, but that makes a mess… and of course you could always use our fine tip glue… but why in the world would we want to??  The adhesive sheets are fabulous and a must-have if you get this bundle – trust me, its worth it!

Dont forget this is the last week of Sale-a-Bration too!  So, if you purchase the bundle, and the adhesive sheets, you will earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set… and if you add $13.50 in product to your order, you can earn 2 FREE Sale-a-Bration items, or a Level 2 item!  You do NOT want to miss out on getting FREE stuff!

You can see and purchase all of the items I used by clicking on them below and adding them to your order.  My online store is ALWAYS open for business, 24 x 7.

Home to Roost Close Up March 2019

I used the stamp set Home To Roost and some of my Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper.  I masked the rooster by stamping him on a post it note, cutting him out, and then covering the area on my cardstock I would like to stamp him in.  I stamped my grass around him by stamping off in Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow.  Then I removed the Post It and stamped my rooster.  To finish him off, I colored him and added the speckles with my Stampin’ Blends.   Doesnt he just look so cool strutting around?!

If you would like to duplicate my card, click the items below to order all the supplies I used and you can earn the stamp set AND the designer paper for FREE!  If you live in my area and would like to attend an upcoming class, I’d love to hear from you… contact me today to get the details and reserve your spot!

Abstract Impressions

Abstract Impressions All.jpg

Wow, its been a while…

I have been in craft-room-renovation-mode since the first of the year, and although it didn’t require a full construction crew and engineers, it was a slow process because I was doing it all myself and I went through EVERYthing I had and purged a lot of things – this was so refreshing to do!  I will post pictures and details soon…

Now to today’s projects… Its one of my favorite times of year, Sale-a-Bration PLUS we have a wonderful Occasions Catalog.  As much as I love these products, I think we tend to overlook our still fabulous annual catalog this time of year.  Its been raining 4 out of the 7 days here for weeks, and I needed some brightness in my stamping life… so I thought I’d #bringthecattyback with these three cheery cards and do some #loveitchopit with my Garden Impressions designer paper.

All of today’s cards are fairly simple, and only require stamps, paper, ink and your trimmer.  That’s right, no punches, and no Big Shot!

CARD 1:

The first card features some Calypso Coral with a pop of Daffodil Delight.  Don’t you just love that sentiment: “If flowers were hugs, I’d send you a thousand”?!

Sprig Punch Wreath

I love using our products for more than just cards.  When I saw the new Sprig punch, I immediately saw individual wreath sprigs and new I wanted to make something for my office door.

I used our Adhesive Sheets to make it easier to apply the sprigs to the wooden wreath base.  The colors are Lemon Lime Twist, Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, and all three colors from the Peaceful Noel Glimmer Paper (Tranquil Tide, Copper, Merry Merlot).

After I had it all put together, I attached my double bow using our Reversible Merry Merlot/Copper Ribbon and our Linen Thread.  Then, I spritzed it with our Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% Rubbing Alcohol, and added some of our Red Rhinestones.  This wreath really has some sparkle and shimmer to it that is just AH-WESOME!.

Hopefully this wreath will inspire you to think “outside the card” with our products.  Our coordination is in a league of its own!  Show me your creative uses for this punch in the comments below!

All of the items you need are linked below and are available in my online store.   Want to get all of these items at a discount?  Use the link above to join my team and put these items in your starter kit!

If you do not currently have a demonstrator, I would love to have you come to my classes and be in my group of Awesome Stampers!   If you would like to host a private event with some friends and make a wreath of your own, use the “Contact Me” link above and let me know!

Enjoy!
